With proper maintenance, the system batteries can provide up to 6 hours of typical worksite boom operation before requiring a recharge. System operators can recharge the batteries in several ways:

• Plug-In Mode: full system charge requires 6 hours of connection to a standard 110V outlet, and an additional 2 hours for battery optimization.
• Automatic Mode: when the batteries become sufficiently discharged, the engine will automatically power on for 5 minutes, engaging the PTO unit, which provides power to the motor/generator unit via the hydraulic pump. After generating a 15-minute power supply, the engine automatically powers down.
• Manual Mode: operator may run engine as desired to provide hydraulic power for boom and generator operation.
• Driving Mode: available only on medium-duty vehicles with lower hydraulic power demands, this mode uses the vehicle’s alternator to charge the system batteries.
